Artist Statement

To capture the wild beauty that is the wilderness. Nature is the vessel for my art, and I’m so grateful for the ability to share in its wonder. Starting with a photograph and coming up with colors, layers, texture, and sometimes shapes to invoke a feeling and energy that goes beyond just what we see. By witnessing the natural world in a state of curiosity, each piece presents its own unique feeling and experience of being in nature. Whatever that may invoke in you, I hope my pieces bring you closer to wilderness and exploring its greater unknown.
